Worship Night 28th June 2025 | How it went and the journey so far!

Our Worship Night on 28^th June was the fourth gathering since our launch in November 2024. Each time we setup the venue for the evening, we really have no idea how many people to expect and how the evening will go. We have been blessed since the start to have up to 45 people in attendance, which is quite amazing as this has been achieved by word of mouth and via our very new online channels which still have limited reach.

For some of you reading, this number may sound small, but numbers are not our focus. Obedience to what we believe He has led us into and pleasing Him is where our attention lies. It’s a new beginning, and by faith we go and step by step we facilitate these evenings of Worship, Word and Spirit.

Back to Basics | What it’s all about

As a reminder, each Worship Night is an evening for those who are interested in this ‘Back to Basics’ approach where it’s stripped back, it isn’t about us and what we want, but it’s directed entirely towards Him, includes a short word brought by someone who is known to hear from God, and where uninterrupted space exists during the worship time for the Holy Spirit to speak or do His work among us as He wills.

The last Worship Night in June | How it went

The numbers at this June gathering were a little lower with about 30 people in attendance as a few regulars were away, but the evening was blessed and we worshipped Him and made room for the Spirit to move. Our guest speaker was Pastor and Author Ralph Winter-Smith. He brought a very specific word that God had placed on his heart for us, something which was very timely.

How we respond

As believers attending a meeting, even with reminders, we can easily overlook God’s heart for a gathering of His people. It’s very easy to miss what has happened. We may come expecting something for ourselves and miss the work of God in someone else. If I had to summarise this worship night in June, I would say that we worshipped Jesus with our songs, with the reminder that our focus was to give to Him, not to get from Him, and that’s what we did. The message, though a little longer than usual, was clearly what was on God’s heart for us. It was about God’s perfect timing, it encouraged and challenged and the message spoke to several individuals there but to one person very specifically who received ministry afterwards. We are so pleased to be a part of an evening where we see lives touched and transformed by the evident love of God poured out. If anything, it inspired us to stand firm and push onwards with even greater focus.

Let’s not forget that as we evaluate any meeting, we must realise we are all a part of His body, and when we personally experience less that’s ok. When we hear of His work in others, this is something to celebrate and thank Him for.

Worship Nights | The journey so far

No two gatherings have been the same. Every evening has been different. Though all have included the same ingredients, what we’ve seen God do among His people has been different each time.

At the first gathering, the Holy Spirt brought an emphasis on abundant life followed with prayer ministry for healing with one clear miracle of healing taking place.

At the second the word was on restoring the years and there was a real emphasis during our worship on freedom from fear and anxiety, and the third was very interesting.

During our third gathering we experienced such a heavy peace in the room it was quite amazing. The presence of God manifest bringing such peace in the midst of chaos, along with words of knowledge relating to sickness that were confirmed after.

This fourth gathering touched several individuals so specifically that we can only thank Him that we’re a part of such a process in the lives of others. Looking back like this just reminds us of the importance to make room for the Holy Spirit, to lean in to what He’s saying and doing and to hold loosely to our service plan.

Just to remind us again. Our Back to Basics worship nights are stripped back with three simple ingredients, Worship, Word and Spirit. All three were included, we brought our offering before Him, and lives were touched as He moved among us. That’s what it’s all about.

Don’t forget, His work in us and the way He transforms us through such encounters in His presence is not to be kept behind closed doors, but it comes with a purpose too, so let your light shine and share His goodness with those you meet.
