Healed from severe tooth ache | Brian’s Story

The following testimony of healing happened over the Easter Weekend in 2025. It was remarkable but simple, it was impromptu, it was simply a response to an urgent need, in a home among family members, yet so amazing. Not in church and not following hours of prayer and preparation. This is what happened to Brian.

Over the Easter weekend in 2025 my father Brian developed a severe tooth ache and a very swollen gum that was causing him significant pain. 

He was unable to get an immediate emergency appointment with a dentist and was having to endure the pain and wait until Monday.  

In the meantime, the pain was so bad that he had not been able to eat very much at all for two days. 

Pray for the sick and they will recover!

On the Sunday evening, our family visited to celebrate Easter together over a meal. When we arrived he told us about this situation, and knowing Jesus still heals today, we immediately offered to pray with him.

We remembered a testimony of a very similar tooth related healing from over thirty years ago that took place in that very room of their home which gave opportunity to help stir our faith. That lady had been instantly healed by a simple prayer.

We then laid hands on him in Jesus name and simply prayed just as we read of in scripture. (Some examples among others can be found here in Mark 16:17, Acts 28:7-9, James 5:13-17 and Acts 3:1-10)

We did not feel anything in that moment, but only thirty minutes later we sat together for our roast dinner and he was able to eat the whole meal without pain.

By the end of the evening, he wasn’t thinking so much about it as the distraction of pain was gone. By the morning the swelling had gone down and and he cancelled the appointment with the dentist. 

We know that Jesus healed Brian in that moment simply by the prayer of faith and the laying on of hands in Jesus name. All glory to Jesus our healer. What a beautiful reminder on an Easter Sunday that He is indeed risen and alive!
