Over the past few months we have been amazed at the consistent numbers of people attending these monthly evenings of worship in Bournemouth. Always new faces, and many familiar faces, and each time the cosy venue is nearly full. Thank you! We’re so grateful to those who have been joining us at these gatherings, it means a lot to us and over time we hope to get to know you all better.

If you’ve not attended one of our Back to Basics Worship Nights, here’s a brief outline of what they’re like. The term Worship Night is now widely used and often refers to an evening of only sung worship and often with an up-tempo praise focus. Here at Acts 247 UK we do things a little different. Worship to us is more than just a song, but includes time spent in the Word, some prayer, and time to wait in His presence, all with reverence of the One we worship. Whilst we prioritise giving to Him, and putting aside our own needs, we also do our best to discern what He wants to do among us and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.

You can expect a time predominantly spent in sung worship, but including a short word from a trusted speaker, the offer of prayer if you need something, and all in a small local church venue filled with likeminded friends from a variety of church backgrounds. You’re welcome too!

As we approach the summer, we have spent time carefully and prayerfully considering what’s next this year for our Worship Nights Bournemouth. On the 6th June 2026 we will have our next gathering as previously announced which we’re looking forward to, but we wanted to book the next set of Worship Nights from July to September which have now been announced.

For us, these worship gatherings are not about aesthetics, equipment or experience. They’re intentionally stripped back to help us get back to basics and in some ways rediscover together what true worship is all about. Why? Well quite simply we have felt led by God to facilitate such an independent gathering for individuals with a similar heart to attend, irrespective of church background or Christian tradition. Think of it as a space to come and go, to unite with other likeminded worshippers, encounter something of God’s presence as we lift up Jesus together, and carry what He does on the inside, wherever we go.
